What are our beliefs?

Orthodox.  Christ the Redeemer understands itself to be orthodox, a word that means our faith is aligned with Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ. This means that Christ the Redeemer embraces the contemporary doctrinal commitments of global evangelicals, as found in the Lausanne Covenant.

Reformational.  Christ the Redeemer also understands itself as a self-conscious heir to the protestant reformation. This means that Christ the Redeemer embraces the confessional doctrinal commitments of the Anglican Church in North America, as found in the Thirty-Nine Articles and the Book of Common Prayer

Spirit-led. Alongside these other commitments, Christ the Redeemer sees itself as part of the world-wide movement of God's Spirit that engages all the Spirit's activity. This means that Christ the Redeemer embraces the continuationist doctrinal commitments on the Holy Spirit's gifts and empowering presence, as found in The Lausanne Covenant and To Be a Christian: An Anglican Catechism.

Catholic*.  Christ the Redeemer understands itself to be a part of the Christian church found throughout history and around the world. This means that Christ the Redeemer embraces the creedal doctrinal commitments of the church used from its earliest days, as found in the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.
* We understand 'catholic' to mean 'universal' or 'unified', not 'Roman Catholic'.
